Recreating beauty images

Today we had to recreate a beauty image so we can feel how it is to be photographed in some unnatural positions and to practice how to give directions to the model. It felt a little unconfortable to be in the role of the model for this attept of recreating a model's pose, because I had to pose like I wouldn't normally do. But I thought that that's what models do, they struggle to look natural in a unnatural pose which is really hard but great at the same time (and sometimes they don't even struggle, they are used to it and looking natural in an unnatural position comesa naturally :)) ). One thing I noticed was that the unedited result was horrible. I mean, not really horrible, but it wasn't cool and beautiful and sexy as the photo I had to recreate but it looked more like funny and like failed attempt. But after some cropping and some black and white (the original photo was B&W) everything turned out pretty nice.
My photographer felt really amused by the situation but she managed to take a "professional, model-like" photo with my phone :)).
If I had to do this again as a model, I'd probably wear make-up because photographing a bare face with dark circles isn't  that attractive and good-looking.

Unfortunately I didn't photograph the original photography that we had to recreate but here's anoter image that kinda looks like what I had in the class. Anyway, it doesn't look the same at all but it's just an example so you could understand why I was posing like that.

And here's my "recreation", before and after edit:
